Memorandum of Understanding of Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities of Technology on the Education Quality Assurance

Memorandum of understanding

1. The unit (department) may apply for KAUT / ENAEE accreditation of a study program if:

a. this program has been accredited by the local Accreditation Commission (if there is such a procedure in a given country),

b. at least two graduate groups have completed the study program submitted for accreditation.

2. The unit wishing to obtain KAUT / ENAEE accreditation of a study program submits an application to the KAUT Office (app.1).

3. After approval by the Office, the Unit prepares (in English) a Self-Assessment Report according to the template (app.2).

4. After sending the Report to the Office and after its approval, the Unit transfers the accreditation fee – 4000.00 € to the KAUT account

5. The KAUT Office appoints an Evaluation Team consisting of 3 experts. The Unit appoints one representative of the employer (a person associated with the unit and / or field of study) and one student representative (from another university unit) to join the Evaluation Team.

6. The Unit makes a statement that the program submitted for accreditation was not submitted for accreditation assessment or subjected to it (and in particular, it was not refused to initiate the accreditation procedure or to grant a certificate) by any other accreditation commission authorized to issue the EUR-ACE Label certificate.

7. The condition of obtaining accreditation is fulfilment of all basic attributes and at least 60% of additional attributes specified in the KAUT / ENAEE Accreditation Standards (app. 3 and 4)

8. The Unit undertakes to support the KAUT Office in organizing accommodation and providing board for members of the Evaluation Team, and provides the assistance of an English or Polish interpreter for the duration of the visit.
